Train Tickets

If you have a specific journey to make between 2 selected stations, then a point to point train ticket is right for you! E-tickets are available for UK trains and are valid for either a single or a return journey. Seat reservations are included and you can retrieve your e-ticket at a local ticket collection machine using the confirmation code from your order, also called Ticket on Departure. Depending on how far in advance you book and what time of day you want to travel, there are up to three different ticket types:

  • Anytime tickets are fully flexible with no time restrictions so you can travel on any train even at peak times.
  • Advance tickets are available in limited numbers and offer better prices the more you book in advance. Travel must be made on the date, time and train specified on the ticket.
  • Off-Peak tickets are valid on any off-peak train on the date shown on the ticket. Off-peak hours vary depending on the train operator but are usually between 9:30 and 16:00 or after 19:00.

Seat Reservations

When traveling with a Rail Pass, seat reservations are not required and you can sit in any available seat. However if you would like to be assured a seat for a specific route, you can make a seat reservation in advance by entering the route of your choice.
