Where can the pass be used?
  • Rail:
    Unlimited rail travel upon the following:
    • Glasgow – Oban/FortWilliam/Mallaig
    • Inverness – Kyle of Lochalsh
    • Inverness – Wick/Thurso
    • Inverness – Aberdeen
    • Inverness – Aviemore
  • Coach:
    • Scottish Citylink/West Coast Motors on the route: Oban/Fort William – Inverness
    • Stagecoach in the Highlands on the route: Thurso – Scrabster
    • Please note: We would recommend pre-booking your coach travel with Scottish Citylink. To book your Scottish Citylink journey and seat reservation in advance you can do so by visiting any VisitScotland iCentre or CityLink Bus Station. Please note a £1.50 booking fee applies.
  • Ferry:
    On the following Caledonian MacBrayne Ferry routes:
    • Oban – Mull
    • Mallaig – Skye
Eligibility
  • ScotRail Passes can be purchased by anyone including residents of the UK.
Booking Period
  • M-Pass must be activated within 3 months of the date of purchase for UK residents and 11 months for International guests to the UK.

Bonuses & Inclusions
  • Get a 10% discount on a full standard fare for the Strathspey Steam Railway and the Keith & Dufftown Railway.
  • Travel aboard Northlink Ferries and receive a 20% discount on Seated Standard fares purchased on the day of sailing on following routes:
    • Scrabster – Stromness
    • Aberdeen – Lerwick
    • Aberdeen – Kirkwall – Lerwick
  • Travel on Caledonian Sleepers is not included with this pass.
Additional Details

You can travel at any time, except on weekday trains arriving in Inverness or Aberdeen before 09.00.

Pass Delivery
  • Download this ScotRail M-Pass directly to your phone. A separate PDF must be downloaded for each day of travel while using the Flexi pass. With your M-Pass, you can enter the train platform and get checked-in by on-board staff.
Seat Reservations
  • A seat reservation is optional but recommended in order to guarantee a seat on a specific train and time. Reservations can be made up to 12 weeks in advance. Reserve a seat.

Note: Upgrades to First Class are not available
