Great West Way Discoverer Pass

With just a single train ticket, you can explore the Great West Way’s most iconic destinations, including London, Bristol and Bath. The best and most relaxing way to explore the route is by rail, and the Great West Way Discoverer Pass allows you unlimited train and bus travel between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads, with options to branch off in the Thames Valley, Cotswolds and Wiltshire.

Great West Way Discoverer Pass also includes unlimited travel on selected bus services along the route, transporting you to Eton, Henley, the Cotswolds, Stonehenge and beyond.

WEST:
Train routes:
  • Bristol Temple Meads – Swindon (via Bristol Parkway or Chippenham)
  • Bristol Temple Meads – Salisbury via Westbury
  • Chippenham – Trowbridge via Melksham
  • Westbury – Pewsey
  • Westbury – Frome
Bus services:
  • X5 Salisbury, Amesbury, Pewsey, Marlborough, Swindon – Salisbury Reds service
  • 49 Trans-Wilts-Express, Swindon, Trowbridge – Stagecoach West service
  • 55 Swindon, Royal Wootton Bassett, Chippenham – Stagecoach West GOLD service
  • S6 Swindon, Faringdon, Oxford – Stagecoach West GOLD service
  • 80/81 Swindon – Marlborough – Stagecoach West service
  • All First West of England services, except the Bristol Flyer services at present
EAST:
Train routes:
  • London Paddington – Swindon via Didcot and Westbury via Pewsey
  • London Waterloo – Westbury via Salisbury using GWR or SWR services
  • Thames Valley branch lines east of Reading, except Services to Greenford.
The EAST ticket also includes unlimited travel on the bus services along the route, listed below:

  • You can buy a Great West Way Discoverer Pass it you are not a UK resident.
Discounts
  • Children 0 to 5 years old ride free of charge.
  • Discount available on Open Top Oxford
Additional Details
  • Passes are valid from 00:00 hrs to 24:00 hrs (Midnight to Midnight) on a chosen day of travel.
  • Holders of Adult / Child Standard Class passes or tickets may travel in First Class accommodation on payment of the difference between the First Class and Standard Class full fare of the journey being made.
  • Many local trains have Standard Class accommodation only. This has been accounted for in the price of the First Class Passes.
Pass Delivery
  • This pass is printed on official railway ticket paper that will be shipped to you. You can select from the available shipping options during checkout. Please allow sufficient time to receive your pass before your departure.
Seat Reservations
  • A seat reservation is optional but recommended in order to guarantee a seat on a specific train and time. Reservations can be made up to 12 weeks in advance. Reserve a seat.
